Please note that Metro has already shut down all its above-ground service until Sunday, and that D.C. has imposed a "snow emergency" (allowing it to ticket @ $200+ and/or tow vehicles parked on "snow emergency" routes, including L Street and many of the numbered cross streets downtown).

I hope you can rejoin us at Midnight next Saturday instead. We've rescheduled the promo for the new vampire film "Daybreakers" (http://www.daybreakersmovie.com) for the 26th. DJ Liebchen will be back in the booth that night, too, and there'll be lots more to announce...

When granddaughter, Jada, was born with leukemia, a donor-match was located and Jada made a miraculous recovery. In honor of her grandaughter's health, Jeanna has decided to walk across the country (in the dead of winter) to raise awareness and build support for the bone marrow registry (all that's required is a cheek swab). Follow Jeanna's remarkable journey as she travels the United States by foot.

"DAYBREAKERS" PROMO

What better D.C. location for promotion of a new vampire film could one find than Midnight? "Daybreakers" (http://www.daybreakersmovie.com), the Lionsgate Entertainment picture due in theaters January 8, portrays a grim world a decade in the future in which a global plague has turned most people into vampires. What really sucks, for the new majority anyway, is that, with fewer and fewer humans available to victimize, blood is in increasingly short supply. How both inventive vampire culture and rebellious humans respond forms the story line of what promises to be an exciting feature starring Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Sam Neill, and Claudia Karvan.
